I am a returning customer, 2nd time purchasing, this time I purchased 1lb! I love Maya Moon's Ceremonial Cacao -- high quality, great taste, very calming and heart opening. Perfect for meditation. I am a very anxious person who struggles with ADHD (just recently stopped taking medication), everyone is different but for me personally, Ceremonial Cacao is the only thing that has been able to help me significantly with my anxiousness/anxiety. Best ceremonial cacao I've had so far! There was another one I tried that was made in the same region but it didn't seem as genuine. I would rather support the locals who have worked the land for generations. The flavor of maya moon is very intense and earthy and gives me a calming uplift for most of the day. I think they will be my source for cacao from now on!

I ordered the 1 lb. ceremonial grade cacao and I was really disappointed in what I actually received. What I received was not ceremonial grade cacao and it contained absolutely no theobromine like other authentic ceremonial cacaos. I bought this ceremonial cacao for the healing and therapeutic affects, but there were none. The ceremonial cacao I received tasted very old, bitter and stale.... which I should've known because when I opened the ceremonial cacao from Maya Moon it looked very dry, which was confirmed when I cut into it and later tried a cup for myself. It's like the ceremonial cacao I received was something else entirely. I have a bag of regular cacao powder, which only cost $10.00, and I received more therapeutic benefits from it than the ceremonial cacao from Maya Moon. Very disappointed. I am not happy I wasted my money and now I have to spend additional monies on another shipment of ceremonial cacao. Lastly, I think some reviews from customers aren't being posted because I shared a review a few days ago about my purchase and it never posted.

I’ve been drinking ceremonial grade cacao for over 10+ years now. I’m a touring musician and have been booked across the US to play my music for others + even play cacao ceremonies. I really was struggling to post this but; I wanted to be honest without taking away their stars bc I sense the passion. This cacao I ordered right before a full moon & I made my ceremonial cup of cacao for my own ritual.. and I couldn’t feel any theobromine in it. It made me really sad and discouraged/disconnected. I was looking forward to diving deep into my heart space and creating healing sounds under a full moon with the sacred prana from mi cacao ritual. The taste was lovely.. and I really hope it was just a bad batch I’ve received. The website says each order is made within 2 weeks of the order placed.. but I think I just got a brick that was sitting there for a while. I also noticed the package it came in was only parchment paper and a thin wrap of brown paper bag. I’m not sure if that’s also why the potency was affected too? I didn’t heat it up too high - I’m very experienced with making cacao. I hope whoever wants to buy from this supplier, just make sure you reach out to ensure this doesn’t happen to you because mistakes do happen and I know this company has the heart. Thank you for what you all do! And I hope everyone has a better experience than me <3
