Support Single Mothers and Cacao Farming Families in Guatemala
At Maya Moon Cacao, we believe cacao is more than a drink, it is cultural heritage and a tool for transformation. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainable development and the preservation of Mayan culture.
Every donation is an act of hope and connection. By supporting us, you join a community that believes in fair trade, dignity, sustainability, and women’s empowerment.
Your contribution allows us to:
- Sustainable development: create projects that protect the environment and strengthen Indigenous communities.
- Education & health: provide access to education for children and healthcare for our collaborators and their families.
- Economic empowerment: support 17 Kaqchikel single mothers in San Marcos La Laguna, Lake Atitlán, and 195 Q’eqchi’ families in the jungles of Cahabón, Alta Verapaz, who cultivate and handcraft ceremonial cacao with dignity. With your help, they gain independence from intermediaries and connect directly to the global economy through a fair trade model.
Thanks to your generosity, more than 1,000 people can live with greater dignity, stability, and hope. Each cup of cacao shared is a bridge between our ancestral past and a more just future for our communities.
