Direct trade cacao from bean to bar ceremonial grade

Do you know the positive impact of Maya Moon Cacao?

Today we want to share with you about the positive social and environmental impact that Maya Moon cacao offers in every step of our production.

There are many benefits that a cup of cacao can bring to your physical and emotional health, but there is much more! behind these benefits and it is the beautiful alchemy process so that the seeds become the final product.

Maya Moon Cacao currently has a direct connection with 85 families from the Qeqchi area in Guatemala who are small cacao producers, and work organically, which generates a great impact on regional biodiversity.

Why? Cacao plantation in this region is still preserved in traditional agriculture inherited from generation to generation, called food forest with a lot of wildlife that is in danger of extinction.

Recently we visited the Qeqchi area to make a stronger connection with the farmers, and families, and listen to their necessities. For 2025 we plan to start working with 180 farming families. We are also creating a closer connection that we will be sharing with you about later.

So up to this point our raw material supports sustainable agriculture that directly benefits the farmer without any intermediary and allows them to have better income without pressure to exploit the land with invasive practices such as the use of chemicals, or monocultures, which devastate the jungle.

Once we have the raw materials, we continue with the production process which has allowed 17 families from San Marcos la Laguna to have income through single mothers, who regularly go through many difficulties finding work but this process allows them flexibility, empowerment. , cohesion, and dignity of their traditions.

How? Our production center is located in a neighborhood of San Marcos la Laguna. The women who participate in the production live close to the production center, which is a great advantage so that they can carry out their activities on a day-to-day basis. Apart from that, the production schedule is flexible, allowing mothers to take their children to school or cook. Which is a very important pillar in this community culture.

Since 2020, Maya Moon Cacao has worked and addressing issues that help women not only have a better economy but to value their cultural wealth, towards the public that follows us (thanks for be part of this audience)

So remember that in a cup of cacao, you can find a universe of benefits, for more than 100 Guatemalan families, not counting the immeasurable benefits that drinking a cup of cacao will bring you personally.

There is so much effort, so much love, so many dreams and so much learning in this adventure that can be packaged in a block of cacao in your kitchen.

We are happy to know that you made it this far and we invite you to check out our new 21 days challenge, which will take you to another level of benefits for you, and ensure that beyond cacao we trade dignity
